About this Course

The Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) program includes a wide breadth of courses developed for pharmacists in community and hospital pharmacy. The Program courses are aimed for pharmacists at all stages of their careers, offering Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) knowledge for those early in their career and deeper development for those who seek to focus on Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) roles.

Dr. Rao V. S. V. Vadlamudi is the President of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association. He is the Professional Secretary of the South East Asian Region (SEARPharm) Forum and the Immediate Past President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association in Hyderabad, India

Meet the Faculty

DR. DIANE ASHIRU-OREDOPE
The Pharmacist Lead for Antimicrobial Resistance at Public Health England (PHE) and HCAI

Dr. Diane Ashiru-Oredope is the Pharmacist Lead for the Department of Health and Social Care, Expert Advisory Committee. She is an antimicrobial pharmacist who led the published Department of Health (DH)/Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) project on national antimicrobial stewardship guidance. She is also the Chairperson of the planning group for European Antibiotic Awareness Day activities in England and the professional project lead for the English Surveillance Program for Antimicrobial Utilization and Resistance.

Objective of the Course

At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  • Empowering pharmacists to improve health and wellbeing
  • Creating a platform to share knowledge and educational resources in order to continually develop the knowledge and skills of the pharmacy professional
  • Building a strong and diverse collaborative network between pharmacists and other health-related groups
