Coronavirus Highlights : Bachchan family tested positive and cases cross 9 Lakh-Mark

Today’s (15th July 2020) coronavirus highlights feature that India has crossed the 9 Lakh mark, as per recent reports. 28,498 new cases were recorded and 553 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra still remains the worst-affected and tops the charts with 6,497 new cases and 193 deaths due to COVID-19 on its list. Now the state accounts for 2,60,924 cases out of the subtotal. The brighter side of the government report points at the data that 5.71 lakh people have recovered. 

Another breaking news that has flooded all over the internet was that the Bachchan family including actor Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus. On Saturday 11th July 2020, Amitabh Bachchan told his millions of Fans via twitter that he has been tested positive for COVID-19. “I have tested COVID positive ..shifted to Hospital ..hospital informing  authorities .. family and staff have undergone tests, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!” Amitabh Bachchan tweeted. Immediately they were shifted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital in isolation units and their bungalows were sanitized thoroughly.   

Yet on Sunday, the results declared that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, former Miss World and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, age eight, were infected with coronavirus and have been tested positive. Aishwarya and her daughter are said to be asymptomatic. Abhishek Bachchan, her husband tweeted to say they would be self-isolating at home. Mumbai municipal officials have since put up banners outside of the actor ‘s house, classifying it as a “containment zone” The news prompted an outpouring of social media support for the family.

These coronavirus highlights point to the fact that anyone, anywhere in the country can be infected if proper precautions are not taken. The central and the state governments are working continuously along the medical facilities to control the gradual surge of the cases.
