Nutrition Support in Kidney Diseases

The core purpose of medical nutrition therapy for chronic kidney disease is to ensure better nutrition for patients suffering from this condition, reduce progression, and to treat complications. Most patients in the early stages of chronic kidney disease might need to limit the amount of sodium and protein intake in their diet. In this lecture Dr. Mirey Karavetian talks about renal nutrition, it's assessment and management, how diet can also lead to malnutrition, the importance of correct diagnosis and hence easily detect renal malnutrition at an early stage.
