Hypertension Controversies

Hypertension is one of the most common risk factors for cardiovascular mortality worldwide.
Its occurence is rising in both ageing and obese populations, but its control remains inadequate worldwide. This lecture will help the viewer understand the overview on some controversies and some opinions by the practitioner’s effective management of hypertension, management of hypertension in daily clinical practice, importance on proper diagnosis of blood pressure and the treatment and control of hypertension related disorders.
This lecture will highlight other points like lifestyle approach for people suffering from hypertension and how reduction in sodium intake helps to prevent this disorder. As of now, how much sodium intake is advised is being researched.
