Cesarean Delivery - The Good, Bad and Ugly
The Caesarean is derived from two Latin words - 'caedre' and 'seco', both meaning to cut. It is a process which has undergone massive changes over the course of time. From a process to save the baby of a dying mother to a procedure to relieve the mother of a difficult vaginal delivery, to the recent approach which helps to prevent morbidity and mortality. Caesarean or C-section as it is referred nowadays, may be planned in case of certain complexities diagnoses during sonography or unplanned for a multitude of reasons. This lecture by Dr. Girija Wagh discuss the Good and Bad techniques in Caesarean delivery.
