Refractory Epilepsy: Optimized Approach

As we already know refractory epilepsy referred as drug-resistant epilepsy is a condition defined as, failure to control seizures after treating with adequate anti-epileptic drugs. This lecture on Refractory Epilepsy will focus on how to approach a patient with Refractory Epilepsy, understand what is Refractory Epilepsy and the different investigations that are required to diagnosis a patient with Refractory Epilepsy. This lecture will also focus on the role played by video EEG, the different queries associated with this condition and lastly, the role of surgery in Refractory Epilepsy.

Dr. Bansal is in - Charge of Epilepsy program at,
Medanta - the Medicity, Gurgaon (Delhi-NCR).
His area of interest is refractory epilepsy and
pre-surgical workup with an experience of about 100 epilepsy surgeries.
He is well known for his passion for EEG.
Active member of NESSAN, Organised in 2018 & Planning in 2019.
