About this Course

This course is about Endocrine Disruptors (EDCs) and environmental pollutants, agrochemicals and industrial compounds which interfere with normal signalling systems and show adverse effects on endocrine and reproductive health of women. The course also focuses on endometriosis which is a major cause of infertility in women.

Objective of the Course

The objective of this course is to understand how the female reproductive system is adversely affected by exposure to EDCs and the challenges faced by practitioners in the management and diagnosis of infertility and endometriosis. The course shall give a deeper understanding of challenges faced during the treatment of reproductive health issues and give learners an insight of the protocols followed in resolving the same.

Need for the Course

As consequence of industrialization, exposure to man-made chemicals and natural chemicals which act as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), has been suggested to be one factor in the increasing incidence of diseases like endometriosis and infertility. Hence it is the need of the hour to address such health issues at the earliest and understand the possible outcomes of the treatment modalities.
