WHO predicts 700,000 more Covid deaths in Europe next few months
Considering the spiralling cases of severe coronavirus disease and hospitalisations, World Health Organisation predicts that Covid-19 linked deaths in Europe could go up by another 700,000 in the coming months. As cases are rising rapidly across Europe, many countries have started to reimpose tough restrictions.
The continent remains “in the firm grip” of Covid and the death toll on the continent could top 2.2 million this winter if current trends continue, the World Health Organization said on Tuesday.
