No data to prove asthma patients at increased risk of COVID-19
People with asthma, including patients with diminished lung function, don’t seem to be worse affected by SARS-CoV-2 than a non-asthmatic person, say new studies. According to a team of Rutgers researchers, who studied the potential risk of patients with lung diseases to get severe by contraction of SARS Cov-2, revealed that asthma does not appear to increase the risk for a person contracting COVID-19 or influence its severity.
