New research confirms second-hand smoking leads to respiratory disorder in adulthood
A new study conducted by a research team at Zealand University Hospital, in Denmark, found that second-hand smoking leads to respiratory disorders such as Asthma and COPDs, even in adulthood. Previous research had established the ill-effects of second-hand smoke in children. The researchers examined more than 16,000 patients exposed to second-hand smoke in their childhood and adulthood.
The researchers concluded that COPD conditions like wheezing, coughing, asthma were high for patients exposed to passive smoking after examining the data.
