
India’s Omicron virus spread related travel ban starts from today
The new travel rules for international travellers in the wake of increased threat of highly contagious Omicron variant coronavirus, issued by Government of India, comes into effect from today (1st December). The revised rules, which were announced after reviewing public health preparedness with states and union territories, includes a mandatory RT-PCR test for passengers from “at-risk” countries, isolated treatment for passengers found positive, a 14-day quarantine for people tested negative, a self declaration along with details of travel history, among others.
