With new cases detected in Rajasthan and Maharashtra, the country’s total number of Omicron variant infections has risen to 21.  Seventeen odd people are under monitoring in Mumbai. The country had earlier detected the new variant in Karnataka, Gujarat and Delhi.  Meanwhile data from the Union ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed that India has completed full vaccination in 50 percent of the eligible adult population as on Sunday.
