India will see the third wave of Covid-19 by February with the daily cases touching more than a 1 lakh, driven by more cases of both Omicron and Delta variants of the virus being detected across the country, predicts epidemiologists. The country, which recorded 8,306 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Monday, has its active caseload at 98,416 currently. Though the active cases have come down as compared to the July level, the threat of new variants is looming large in the country.
