With 1,68,063 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, India’s active Covid-19 caseload has risen to 8,21,446 currently. The country also registered 277 new deaths related to severe Covid-19 on Monday. The national test-positive rate is at 10.64 percent and the country’s Omicron tally (total test-confirmed cases of infection by the new variant of coronavirus) is 4,461, with Maharashtra reporting the highest number of cases at 1,247, followed by Rajasthan (645) and Delhi (546).
