NHS aims to add remote-monitoring tools to reduce COVID hospital admissions
National Health System or the NHS, the publicly funded healthcare system of the UK, said that it would be implementing new remote monitoring tools to support people with Covid-19 to stay safely at home, in order to reduce hospital admissions. They also announced that new measures to counter the Omicron surge include the addition of 25,000 remote monitoring kits, including additional pulse oximeters, and a dedicated team to support the patients. Medical experts have welcomed the move and pointed out how the covid infections are rising at a 45 percent faster rate as compared to last winter, and how these measures could relieve the medical practitioners at the hospitals and provide quality healthcare to a larger population.
