Doctors at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Mumbai, successfully performed a surgery for over-ripe cataract on a 55-year-old woman suffering from sideways curvature of spine and head-spine misalignment. The patient was presented with difficulty in straightening her head due to the rigid neck and was unable to lie flat. This made the surgery very challenging.  The patient’s head and body had to be strapped with tape to maintain a still posture during surgery.
