Several US states plan to roll back mask mandates
Several state governors in the US have announced their plans to roll back mask mandates for schools and indoor public spaces, citing a drop in recent coronavirus infections. These states, including New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Delaware and Oregon, which had earlier installed sweeping safety measures in the pandemic, are now apparently preparing to live permanently with the virus. However, New York State, which had been the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, has resisted the move at least for now saying it is gathering data.
