FDA approves first infrasound stethoscope
Sanolla, a digital healthcare platform developing smart medical diagnosis for medical experts as well as patients and carers, said that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved the first stethoscope that can be used to detect infrasounds, named VoqX. The company revealed that the primary care stethoscope is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms designed to improve the diagnosis and classification of diseases that affect the lungs, including COPD. Medical experts have expressed hopes for the invention, as it promises to be an excellent tool for diagnosing cardiopulmonary morbidities including valvular pathologies.
