Bacteria produce scrub typhus – rare neurological disease associated with mites

Bacteria produce scrub typhus, which is spread by mites. Patients frequently arrive with high fevers or multi-organ failure. Neurological symptoms are also observed; however, the frequency of their occurrence is unclear. Cerebellitis, or cerebellar inflammation, is an uncommon neurological consequence of scrub typhus. He was given antibiotics and recovered quickly.
