Medical experts caution lung patients in Delhi as AQI peaks
Medical experts and practitioners have cautioned people to stay indoors as the AQI (Air Quotient Index) levels stay up in the National Capital Region (NCR). The supreme court of India had asked the Delhi government for strict measures to surpass the poor air quality levels in the city. As a result, the AQI had reduced from being “severe” to “very poor”. However, the public has been advised not to step out unless absolutely necessary and to cover the nose and mouth outdoors. Experts have also cautioned the public that physical exercises outdoors be kept to a minimum.
