Cipla launches initiative to improve access to nebulizers by rural COPD patients

Indian drugmaker Cipla has launched a nation-wide initiative to improve access to nebulization therapy for COPD patients in the rural sections of the country.  The company said that it aims to distribute 5000 nebulisers to primary health care centers (PHCs) across the states of Maharashtra, Andhra, Telangana, TN, Punjab, Sikkim, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab and UP. Nebuliser therapy is not available in these PHCs currently. The company also said that it is also planning to spread deep awareness regarding the therapy and sensitising the medical staff on the science of safe nebulization practices.
