
India’s single-day Covid-19 spike 27% up at 2.5 lakh on Wednesday
India reported 2,47,417 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending at 9 am on Thursday, an increase of 27 percent over Tuesday. This has pushed the country’s active caseload to 11,17,531. The daily positivity rate has risen to 13.11 percent, according to the latest data released by the ministry of health and family welfare. The country’s Omicron tally has now risen to 5,488, with Maharashtra (1,367) and Rajasthan (792) contributing the highest number of cases of the new variant. Meanwhile, Delhi has 549 cases, Kerala has 486, Karnataka 479, West Bengal 294, and UP 275.
