Delhi again sees rising Covid cases with 2.49% TPR

Delhi, which has been seeing a gradual rise in Covid-19 cases since last week, recorded 299 infections on Wednesday — a rise of nearly 50 percent since the previous day. The positivity rate stood at 2.49 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.Active cases in the national capital currently stand at 841, with 173 people recovering from Covid-19 on Wednesday. However, no Covid-related deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. As many as 504 Covid-19 patients are in home isolation in the capital, the bulletin stated. There are 9,745 beds for Covid patients in Delhi hospitals and 43 (0.44%) of them are occupied, it said. Meanwhile, India saw a total of 1,007 new COVID-19 cases,  taking the coronavirus tally to 4,30,39,025, and 26 Covid-related deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,21,736, in the last 24 hours.
