TPG-backed Evercare Group, which opearates an integrated healthcare delivery platform in emerging markets across Africa and South Asia,  will launch the Evercare Foundation, a non-profit organisation working towards equitable health for all and the development of more resilient health systems.  According to the group, its decision to launch this foundation is timely as low and middle-income countries continue to suffer from underinvestment in healthcare, which adversely affects access to services necessary to improve health outcomes, a key goal under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). If current trends continue, up to 5 billion people will still be unable to access health care by 2030. This context is made even more difficult by the COVID-19 pandemic, which also slows and reverses progress towards SDG3, it said.
