Hemostatic Peptide Solution Enables Same-Day Discharge After Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection and Colonoscopy
A new study has found that using a hemostatic peptide solution can enable same-day discharge for patients undergoing endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and colonoscopy. The solution was used in 24 patients, and all were able to go home the same day without complications. This is a significant finding, as ESD and colonoscopy procedures often require patients to stay overnight for monitoring, which can increase healthcare costs and inconvenience patients. The study also found that the use of the hemostatic peptide solution resulted in shorter procedure times and reduced blood loss during the procedures. This solution could potentially improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of these procedures in the future.
