Hyderabad-based Fernandez Hospital, which started its first human milk bank along with dedicated lactation helpline and lactation counseling in 2007, has inaugurated its third human milk bank at its Bogulkunta in-patient facility. The milk banks receive approximately 1000 liters of expressed milk annually, which helps over 500 neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the hospital said.
