India posts 15,102 new Covid cases, 278 deaths on Tuesday
India added 15,102 new coronavirus infections in a single day, while active cases dipped below two lakh after 50 days. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the active cases were at 1,64,522 (0.38%) and the daily positivity rate was at 1.28 percent on Tuesday. 278 Covid-19 deaths reported in the last 24 hours took the country’s Covid-linked death toll to 5,12,622.
