As Gujarat and Maharashtra reported three more cases of Omicron variant infection of Covid-19 on Monday, India’s total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease linked to the new rapidly spreading variant of SARS CoV-2 has gone up to 41. The country had reported 38 cases on Sunday after Kerala, Chandigarh and Rajasthan detected their first cases, in addition to the total 35 cases confirmed in Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
