LFQ more accurate among COPD detection questionnaires

The latest review by a team of researchers at the department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in The First Hospital of China Medical University, established better accuracy of Lung Function Questionnaire (LFQ) in distinguishing people with and without COPD, among half a dozen questionnaires. The team analysed 909 patients who completed six questionnaires – COPD Diagnostic Questionnaire (CDQ), Revised COPD Diagnostic Questionnaire (Revised-CDQ), COPD Population Screener (COPD-PS), COPD Screening Questionnaire (COPD-SQ), COPD Assessment in Primary Care to Identify Undiagnosed Respiratory Disease and Exacerbation Risk (CAPTURE), and Lung Function Questionnaire (LFQ) – to find that LFQ performed much better than others in terms of overall score.
