Liver: LiverRisk score can predict liver disease in early detection
Cirrhosis of the liver is a serious health issue. However, it is frequently discovered late, when serious consequences have developed. The LiverRisk score was established by researchers to identify people at risk of cirrhosis and associated complications, allowing for early intervention. The score is based on age, gender, and six standard blood tests. Individuals were classified as low, medium, or high risk depending on their risk score. The accuracy and dependability of the model were evaluated in two distinct cohorts. The LiverRisk score reliably predicted liver stiffness and future liver-related outcomes in people without known liver illness who were followed for an average of 12 years. The score outperformed established biomarkers. The risk of liver-related death was more than four times greater in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group.
