Several key dermatological issues are covered in this compilation of results and reviews. Researchers looked at the use of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) as a possible treatment for autoimmune bullous disorders, finding promising results in individuals with pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid, mucous membrane pemphigoid, and epidermolysis bullosa acquisita. Another research looked at the effectiveness of self-help habit substitution in reducing repeated behaviors in people with boy-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) such skin plucking, and found that participants improved significantly. Hormonal therapies for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) were also examined, with spironolactone and metformin found as safe and effective choices, however larger-scale trials are required. Dupilumab had a favorable effect on transepidermal water loss, stratum corneum hydration, temperature, and skin barrier function in individuals with atopic dermatitis.
