Namedeno-pathovirus found in feverish patient in Peru
A novel phlebovirus variety was discovered in a feverish patient in Chanchamayo, Peru. The virus’s genome and proteins were examined, and it was discovered to be a natural recombinant of the Echarate virus, with its large and small genome segments fused with an unnamed phlebovirus for its M segment.
