PCSI invites pulmonary patients to participate in research trial

The Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders Institute of South Florida (PCSI), an integrated pulmonary and chest specialty group in Palm Beach County, announced that it is recruiting patients to participate in a research trial. The trial is to test the efficacy of Respira Labs’ Sylvee, a medical device that is worn on the lower part of the rib cage using adhesives and monitors pulmonary volumes, trapped air, respiratory and heart rates, and temperature. Dr Luis Peña-Hernández highlighted the significance of the trial as Sylvee could be a game changer in the domain of COPD.
