Recurrent cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) after repeated exposure to THC
Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome is an uncommon neurological disorder characterized by repeated, severe headaches and numerous blood vessel narrowings in the brain. Strokes caused by blood clots or bleeding in the brain are examples of complications. Stimulants, such as THC, have frequently been related to RCVS instances. Though reversible, some individuals experience repeated RCVS after being exposed to similar causes. Recurrent RCVS following repeated exposure is demonstrated in two case reports. Recurrent ischemic strokes and permanent constricted arteries occurred in a patient with a history of tetrahydrocannabinol usage. Another patient who had previously used ashwagandha, medicinal marijuana, and antidepressants had several brain hemorrhages with restricted arteries.
