Robotra-assisted laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis of the abdominal wall
Endometriosis of the abdominal wall is an uncommon disorder in which endometrial tissue develops outside of the uterus, frequently on the abdominal wall. Advanced gynecological surgeons must be able to evaluate and surgically remove abdominal wall endometriosis. This video shows a robot-assisted laparoscopic procedure for removing endometriosis from the abdominal wall using intraoperative ultrasound guidance. To begin, ultrasound-guided needles are used to map the position and margins of the lesion. The lesion is then excised minimally invasively using needle advancement and withdrawal to ensure clean margins and full excision. This procedure allows for the exact localization and excision of endometriosis in the abdominal wall.
