SaiOx, Arizona-based medical device company, was awarded the 2021 Venture Madness awards for developing an innovative breathing assist device to help the patients suffering from COPD-related breathing issues. 

The company’s breathing device, Hespiro Respiratory Assist Device (RAD), which provides a safe and effective non-invasive approach to respiratory issues uses Hespiro technology that treats COPD and other respiratory diseases more quickly at a significantly reduced cost. 

SaiOx CEO Manny Teran expressed her hopes that the device will provide assistance to severe Asthamtic and COPD patients. She also added that her company is invested in “major demographic trends in healthcare, including an aging population that wants to live an active lifestyle and increased demand for remote patient monitoring and home treatments.”
