Interventions to treat female sexual health difficulties in cancer patients are discussed in the book. There is substantial evidence that behavioral therapies such as therapy and education are useful in treating low sexual desire, body image concerns, and relationship problems. Interventions involving both partners have been demonstrated to improve couples. Except for vulvovaginal atrophy, which can be treated with non-hormonal and low-dose hormonal creams, there are no established medication therapies for sexual difficulties. Laser therapy is constantly being researched. Sexual partners have a vital role in sexual health, yet discussions about the subject are rare. New technology-based treatments show potential for enhancing sexual health communication.
