More than 150 minute a week work out could help better control of asthma symptoms

Exercise interventions in people with severe asthma could improve their symptoms and quality of life, proves a latest study by a group of researchers from the University of East Anglia, linking physical activity and lung function improvement. The study, published in the Journal of Health Psychology, pointed out that doing more than 150 minutes a week of moderate or vigorous physical activity has extensive benefits in improving lung function and asthma control. However, the barriers in the way of accessing the training, including transport or additional health conditions, proved to be an impediment for many. The researchers highlighted the need for more digital interventions in the domain, such as video appointments, smartwatches, and mobile apps, that can help the patients carry out the exercises at home.
