Heart failure (HF) is a common diagnosis in elderly patients, and therapies like angiotensin receptor-neprylisin inhibitors (ARNI) have shown clinical benefits. However, the effectiveness of ARNI treatment in elderly patients with HF and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) remains unclear. A study involving 258 patients with HF and reduced LVEF found that ARNI treatment improved survival rates. The median follow-up was 38.9 months, with 40% of patients dying and 55% experiencing cardiovascular events. The study suggests that ARNI treatment is a powerful protective factor against mortality, but further research is needed to confirm these findings.
