About This Course

Vertigo is a sensation of motion or spinning often addressed as dizziness. It is a symptom of vestibular dysfunction and it is important to distinguish vertiginous symptoms from other forms of dizziness like light-headedness. Vertigo can interfere with lifestyle, driving, and work. There are primarily two types of vertigo, namely peripheral and central vertigo.

Vertigo can be diagnosed based on symptoms such as loss of balance, hearing loss, lack of coordination and balance, and nystagmus. The assessment of vertigo includes conducting blood tests, brainstem auditory evoked potential, caloric stimulation, electroencephalogram, electronystagmography, head CT, lumbar puncture, MRI scan of the head, and gait testing.

This program aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of various aspects concerning the optimal diagnosis and management of vertigo. Attendees will gain insights into recent research, finest practices, and global perspectives on vertigo, making it a must-attend program for healthcare professionals dedicated to enhancing clinical skills and patient outcomes in routine clinical settings.
