Dr. Akhouri Kishore Raghawan

Dr. Akhouri Kishore Raghawan, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the division of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre at Harvard Medical School Boston.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Chemistry and also Master of Science, Molecular and Human Genetics in Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, India.
He pursued his PhD in CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology. He has worked in various research areas through fellowships.
He also received Prof. SRV Rao-Best Paper Presentation Award at 43rd All India Cell Biology Conference held at IISER, Mohali, India in 2019.
Recently, Dr. Raghawan was nominated by the Director, CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad as Nominee INSA Medal – 2021 (Indian National Science Academy Medal for Young Scientist – 2021).
After working in various levels of research, Dr. Raghawan moved to united states to pursue Postdoctoral Fellow on Role of WDFY4 in bone disorders, at Harvard medical School, Boston, USA. His work has provided insights into how the heat shock proteins sense the cold temperature and regulate inflammatory response in a temperature dependent manner investigating the pathophysiology cold-induced aggravation of symptoms of arthritis and related disorders.
