Dr. BD Goswami

HOD Gastroenterology, Dispur Hospital, Guwahati, Assam

Dr. BD Goswami is the Head of Department of Gastroenterology at Dispur Polyclinic and Nursing Home Guwahati. Dr Goswami became the first gastroenterologist from NE to be elected for the fellowship. He completed his Ph.D. in Gastroenterology from Tver State Medical Academy, Russia. He did his Fellowship in Gastroenterology from University of Virginia (USA) in 1999 and worked as HOD, Gastro at Gauhati Medical college. Dr. Goswami has been elected as one of the top five gastroenterologists from India this year for the fellowship offered by ACG. Dr. BD Goswami is already a fellow of Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India (SGEI), an international member of ACG, American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL). He is the recipient of Economic Times Inspiring Gastroenteritis of India award in 2018. Dr. BD Goswami has more than 45 national and international publications and has made several scientific presentations in and outside the country.

Dr. Parimal Lawate

Dr. Pariwal Lawate is the Head of Gastroenterology at Jehangir Hospital and Consultant Gastroenterologist at the prestigious Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Joshi and Ratna Hospitals in Pune including Jehangir Hospital. He is a well-known Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Endoscopist from Pune specializing in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases. He is a veteran physician with over 30 years of practice in Clinical Gastroenterology. He completed his MD (Medicine) in 1985 from BJ Medical College, Pune and DM (Gastroenterology) in 1989 from Christian Medical College, Vellore. He was the Organising Secretary for the National Gastroenterology and Endoscopy meetings in 1998 and 2002.

Dr. Gourdas Choudhari

Dr. Gourdas Choudhuri is currently associated as Director and Head with Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary Sciences at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. He is a leading Gastroenterologist, medical educator, researcher of national eminence, as well as a columnist and philanthropist. He pioneered many initiatives in the treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases in the country. He was the first to start Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Extra Corporeal Shockwave Biliary Lithotripsy in India (ESWL) in the early nineties. Gourdas Choudhuri is an Honorable Secretary and President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Dr. Choudhuri played a leadership role in developing liver and digestive health in the country. He has published around 180 publications to his credit and edited five books.

Dr. Philip Abraham

Dr. Philip Abraham is the Consultant in Gastroenterology at Hinduja Hospital, Khar. He is the retired Professor and Head, Department of Gastroenterology, KEM Hospital. He has been the past President of Indian Society of Gastroenterology and Indian Motility and Functional Diseases Association. He has been the recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award from Indian Society of Gastroenterology. He has been the past Editor of Indian Journal of Gastroenterology and has delivered several orations and authored nearly 100 original publications in indexed journals.

Dr. Amrender Puri

Dr. Amrender Singh Puri is the Vice Chairman, Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences, Medanta Gurugram. Dr. Puri completed his MBBS followed by MD (Internal Medicine) from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. Thereafter, he worked for two years at CMC, Ludhiana (Punjab University) as a Lecturer in Medicine before joining DM (Gastroenterology). Post completing his DM (Gastroenterology) from SGPGI, Lucknow in 1992, Dr. Puri joined GB Pant Hospital, Delhi as an Associate Professor of Gastroenterology and rose to the level of Professor and Head of Medical Gastroenterology Department where he worked for more than two decades before joining the Medanta. Dr. Puri has been honoured with numerous awards, Times Healthcare Award in 2017 and Delhi Government State Award for Meritorious Service in 2014 to name a few. He has various publications, articles and chapters published in both national and international papers and journals.

Dr. VG Mohan Prasad

Dr. VG Mohan Prasad is a Gastroenterologist in Singanallur, Coimbatore and has an experience of 40 years in this field. Dr. V G Mohan Prasad practices at VGM Hospital in Singanallur, Coimbatore. He completed MBBS from Madras University, Chennai, India in 1982 and DM - Gastroenterology from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 1987. He is a member of Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Some of the services provided by the doctor are Gastritis Treatment and Endoscopy etc.
