Dr. Deepa K. 

                            Associate Professor and Head of Anatomy Quest International University, Ipoh Perak, Malaysia
                            

                            Dr Deepa. K. is the Associate Professor and Head of The Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, in Quest International University, at Malaysia. She is an alumni of Auxilium college, University of Madras from where she obtained her Bachelor of Zoology and Master of Sciences in Human anatomy from Dr. ALM Post Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences by bagging gold medal and university first rank. Later she pursued her Ph.D from Christian Medical College, at Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical university. Dr. Deepa has research experience in collaboration with clinicians on sensorimotor assessment of hand in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome patients and biomedical engineers, also designed customized instruments for assessment of sensorimotor function of hand and a computational model on hand dysfunction in Parkinson’s patients.

                                She has publications in various international journals and also has copyright on her work entitled “FESO a pedagogical model approach to sequential learning of Anatomy in Medical Curriculum” and patency on the process of extraction of neuro protective function exhibiting active biomolecule eugenol from saraswatharishtam and product thereof. She has won awards in academics and poster presentations and also conducted training courses and workshops in her field and also has Life Membership - Association of Anatomists Tamil Nadu, Associate member – Malaysian Anatomical Association and Regular member of International Society for Plastination. With 22 years of teaching experience, she also initiated anatomy lectures in YouTube channels and is well versed in preparing competitive clinical-oriented assessments. She has also developed lesson plans for students of undergraduate Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, developed ability to engage both conventional curriculum and Problem-based integrated medical teaching using self-explainable powerpoint presentations in general anatomy, cadaveric gross anatomy, Neuroanatomy, embryology, histology, prosected specimens, osteology, radiographic anatomy with relevant clinical and surgical applications.
