About This Course

Objective of the course: LVPEI Vitreo-Retina Course is a collection of six retina courses, where participants have the option of choosing one or more courses. These are specifically designed for practicing ophthalmologists, ophthalmology fellows and residents. These courses are aimed to help the participants understand the basic principles, newer investigative modalities, latest guidelines, and approach to treatment of various vitreo-retinal disorders.

Meet the Instructor

Dr. Mudit Tyagi
Head, Smt. Kanuri Santhamma Centre for Vitreo-Retinal Diseases, LVPEI, Hyderabad

Dr. Mudit Tyagi’s main areas of interest are complex retinal detachments, macular holes and uveitis. Dr. Tyagi developed a surgical technique of retinal detachment and macular hole surgery which is recognized by the Vitreo-Retinal Society of India which is beneficial to elderly patients and spinal and other orthopedic ailments. He has also received the honour and achievement award from the prestigious American Society and has over 80 scientific publications in internationally peer reviewed journals and other awards and recognitions throughout his career.

Dr. Sameera Nayak
Faculty, Vitreo-retinal services, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus, Vijayawada

Dr. Sameera Nayak completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha, in 2008. She did two long-term fellowships, a comprehensive Ophthalmology fellowship (2009-2012) and a long-term Vitreo-Retina fellowship (2012-2013) from LVPEI, Hyderabad, before joining the Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus, LVPEI, at Vijayawada. She is the recipient of the Dr. Carl Herbort award in Uveitis society of India, Mussoorie 2013. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). Her areas of interest include Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular diseases, Uveitis, Retinopathy of Prematurity, and Ocular trauma. She has several paper and poster presentations to her credit and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Bhavik Panchal
Faculty, Vitreo-retinal services, Head, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Visakhapatnam

Dr. Panchal is a clinician with a keen interest in research and academics and is credited with several indexed publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He has presented multiple papers and poster presentations whilst winning several awards both nationally and internationally respectively. His future plans aim to take Ophthalmic Digital education to greater heights. Dr. Panchal's clinical areas of interest are Pediatric Retina, Retinopathy of Prematurity, infectious and non-infectious Uveitis, and managing Complex Retinal Detachments.

Dr. Aditya Kapoor
Education Incharge at KVC Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus, Vijayawada.

Dr. Aditya Kapoor completed his basic medical education from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, followed by post-graduation in ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), Sitapur. Before joining LVPEI's Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus in Vijayawada, he did his fellowship in comprehensive ophthalmology from LVPEI Hyderabad and received training in vitreo-retinal diseases. He now specializes in Vitreo Retinal Diseases, Uveitis and Ocular Immunology. He has made several case, poster and video presentations at various state and national level meetings and conferences.

Dr. Umesh Chandra Behera
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus Patia, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Umesh Chandra Behera was faculty at Aravind Eye Care System for 6 years, with a keen interest in treating retinal diseases in the pediatric age group, diabetic retinopathy and endophthalmitis. His notable achievements are an original description of a rare retinal aberration (foveal duplication) and a new ocular pathology (HPMC retinal toxicity). He is involved in a number of multicentric clinical trials and is a reviewer for peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals like Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology and Eye.

Dr. Vivek Dave
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Smt. Kanuri Santhamma Centre for Vitreo Retinal Diseases, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Dave’s surgical expertise lies in vitreo retinal diseases (complex vitreoretinal surgery, retinal trauma, diabetic eye surgeries, endoscopic vitreoretinal surgery and endophthalmitis management). Dr. Dave has over 200 podium presentations and lectures delivered and 122 peer-reviewed scientific international research publications. He has received numerous national and international awards the most notable one being the Namperumalsamy Young Researcher Award from the Vitreoretinal Society of India.

Dr. Vishal R Raval
Retinal faculty, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Vishal R. Raval completed his Vitreo-retinal fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and has done an International Ophthalmic Research Fellowship in Ocular Oncology from Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He has widely published peer-reviewed journals and has presented at various conferences. His areas of clinical interest are Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal detachment, and Ocular Oncology including management of Intraocular tumors such as Retinoblastoma, Choroidal Melanoma and various other retinal and choroidal tumors.

Dr. Rajeev R. Pappuru
Vice Chair, L V Prasad Eye Institute Consultant Ophthalmologist at Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Rajeev R. Pappuru is the Vice-Chair, LVPEI, and the network in charge of all new project endeavors and the urban city centers across the LVPEI network. Dr. Pappuru set up the image reading centre at LVPEI. He has been the key driving force behind the development of CEREBRO, an indigenous self-check-in app at LVPEI. Academically, Dr. Pappuru has widely published articles in leading international and national journals.

Dr. Srikanta Kumar Padhy
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus Patia, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Srikanta Kumar Padhy has completed his ophthalmology residency training from the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Subsequently, he did a research observer ship at the AIIMS, New Delhi, under the guidance of Professor Atul Kumar. He later pursued a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretina, Uvea and Retinopathy of Prematurity from the L V Prasad Eye Institute. His main areas of interest are complex vitreoretinal surgeries, inherited retinal disorders, retinal vascular diseases, and ocular trauma. With a keen interest in research, Dr. Padhy has to his credit, over 50 publications in various national and international peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Niroj Kumar Sahoo
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus, Vijayawada

Dr. Niroj Kumar Sahoo completed his primary medical education from Veer Surendra Sai Medical College, Burla, India, and his post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. He completed his research fellowship followed by a long-term clinical fellowship in the retina and vitreous from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. His areas of interest are macular and choroidal disorders. Dr. Sahoo is keenly involved in the research of imaging in macular disorders and has published several papers in peer-reviewed high-impact journals. He is a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology and an active member of the All India Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. G. Nikitha Reddy
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Nikitha Reddy Gurram completed her MBBS from Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, Karimnagar, Telangana and pursued her MS from SVS Medical College and Hospital, Mahbubnagar, Telangana. She did her surgical vitreoretinal training from Narayana Nethralaya Superspecialty Eye Institute, Bangalore and subsequently joined the institute as a faculty. During this time, she contributed significantly to various post-graduate training programs and workshops. Currently, Dr. Nikitha G. Reddy is working as a consultant ophthalmologist at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She has a keen research interest, especially in retinal and choroidal imaging and has worked on numerous papers related to ocular imaging. She has presented several posters and papers at various state and national level conferences and has 29 publications and three textbook chapters to her credit to date.

Dr. Deepika C P
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Deepika C. Parameswarappa completed her MBBS from Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Karnataka and pursued her post-graduation, DNB from Prabha Eye Clinic and Research Centre, Bengaluru. She then did her fellowship in Retina and Vitreous from LVPEI, Hyderabad. Dr. Deepika has presented papers and posters at various conferences. Her areas of interest are inherited retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, macula and its imaging modalities.

Dr. Raja Narayanan
Network Director - Human Resources and Anant Bajaj Retina Institute Director - Suven Clinical Research Centre Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

He is the Principal Investigator and co-founder of Indian Health Outcomes, Public Health, and Economics (IHOPE) Research Centre, funded by DBT, Govt. of India and Welcome Trust, UK. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester, New York. He is the Editor-in-Chief of IHOPE Journal of Ophthalmology and serves on the Editorial Board of Seminars in Ophthalmology, Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, and the International Journal of Retina and Vitreous. Dr. Narayanan has received awards such as the Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists and the International Ophthalmologist Education Award and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters and is a reviewer for many reputed journals. He was also visiting Faculty at the University of California and Visiting Scholar at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston. Dr. Narayanan is keen on learning Vedantic philosophy and applying it in organizational leadership.

Dr. Tapas Ranjan Padhi
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus Patia, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Tapas Ranjan Padhi, a gold medalist in MS Ophthalmology from JIPMER, Pondhicherry, completed a two-year fellowship in the retina from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai; followed by a research fellowship in the pediatric retina, electrophysiology and retinal dystrophy from University of Michigan, USA. He received the ARVO collaborative research fellowship award for 2014-15 and was a visiting scholar at Associated Retina Consultants, Royal Oak, the USA, in the pediatric retina. Dr. Tapas has to his credit more than 73 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has served as principal and co-investigator in many multicentric randomized clinical trials.

In 2015 he was honoured with the prestigious Biswambar Rajguru Oration award by the Odisha State Ophthalmological Society. His core areas of interest are Retinopathy of Prematurity and advanced vitreoretinal surgeries. He has been awarded the prestigious JM Pahwa award by the Vitreoretinal Society of India (2018) and the Col. Rangachari Award by the All India Ophthalmic Society, India (2021) for his work related to Retinopathy of Prematurity.

Dr. Tapas also heads the Electrophysiology Services across the LVPEI network and has been actively involved in research related to pediatric retina, electrophysiology and retinal dystrophies.

Dr. Brijesh Takkar
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Brijesh Takkar completed his primary medical education and then trained as MD ophthalmologist from AIIMS, Delhi, and later worked there as a senior registrar in the Vitreo Retina unit. He has worked as an assistant professor at DMC-Ludhiana and AIIMS-Bhopal which has contributed to his rich clinical experience before he joined the Vitreo- Retina services at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He has researched the field of diabetic retinopathy for 2 years at CSIR- AIIMS, Delhi.

Dr. Takkar has accumulated his research experience as an NTSE scholar and has been certified for good clinical practices by the NIH, USA. He has over 170 indexed publications and 30 book chapters to his credit, apart from multiple oral and poster presentations at international level. He has also written and edited a book on retinal surgery. His contributions to ophthalmology include new diseases, new clinical and investigative signs, numerous hypothesis, and new diagnostic and therapeutic methodologies.

Dr. Anamika Patel
Junior Ophthalmologist, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Visakhapatnam

Dr. Anamika Patel graduated from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College and pursued her residency in ophthalmology from Mahatama Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in Medical Retina and Uveitis at L V Prasad Eye Institute, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Vizag.

Dr. Soumyava Basu
Network Head, Uveitis Services Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Soumyava Basu is a Uveitis and Retina consultant at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India, and heads the Uveitis services of the LVPEI network. He received medical training from the University of Mumbai, followed by retina fellowships at Shri Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He has also completed three research sabbaticals – with Prof. Narsing Rao at Doheny Eye Institute (2010), Prof. Jay Ambati at University of Kentucky (2013-14), and Prof. Lalita Ramakrishnan at the University of Cambridge, UK (2016).

Dr. Basu’s research interests lie in understanding the interactions between infection and autoimmunity in the immune-pathogenesis of ocular tuberculosis. He has received multiple competitive research grants, most recently the DBT Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellowship in Clinical and Public Health Research (2019-24). He has published widely in peer-reviewed international journals and has been a reviewer for nearly all major ophthalmology journals. Dr. Basu has been actively involved in framing the Indian Extra-pulmonary TB (INDEX-TB) guidelines. He has also been the principal investigator for several multi-centric clinical trials.

Dr. Megha Gulati
Junior Ophthalmologist, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Visakhapatnam

Dr. Megha completed her primary medical education from RCSM Government Medical College, Kolhapur followed by a post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Patna. She then pursued a Fellowship in Vitreo-retina and Uveitis Services from LVPEI, Visakhapatnam.

Her clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, surgical retina and retinopathy of prematurity.

Dr. Avinash Pathengay
Network Director, Education Consultant Ophthalmologist, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Visakhapatnam

The LVPEI ‘Just A Minute (JAM) clinical pearls’ (emailer - digital learning) in Ophthalmology and Optometry that have received a phenomenal response globally from the eye care fraternity are his brainchild. He has conceptualized many other innovative learning tools, and the LVPEI education training programs and collaborations have been further strengthened with a strong digital component under his leadership. Associated with LVPEI since 2001, he has played an integral role in establishing the retina services at the institute’s GMR Varalakshmi Campus in Visakhapatnam. Dr. Pathengay is a co-founder of RETNETINDIA, a group with over 950 retinal surgeons in India. He has to his credit more than 100 presentations in both international and national conferences and 147 peer-reviewed publications and has authored 9 chapters in various textbooks. He was honored as the Outstanding International Scholar by the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, USA, and was recently ranked as an expert (second position) in endophthalmitis by the Expertscape Daily Experts. He has also received several awards for his presentations at forums such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Asia Pacific Ophthalmological Society and World Ophthalmology Congress.

Dr. Joveeta Joseph
Head of Microbiology Services – LVPEI Network, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Joveeta Joseph is the Head of Microbiology Services for the entire LVPEI network. She is the incumbent of Dr. Savitri Sharma Chair of Ocular Microbiology. She has made significant contributions in the field of ocular microsporidiosis. She was awarded the Junior Best Paper Award for describing the first report on 16S rRNA gene-based PCR assay for identification of microsporidia in ocular samples. She has also been awarded with the G P Agarwal Young Scientist Award, 2006 for her work on fungal keratitis and wound healing along with other awards. She is involved in diagnostic and research activities pertaining to ocular infections. The other project in which she is interested is HSV-1 Keratitis. In addition to research, she is also involved in monitoring the infection control activities of the hospital. During her research career, she has published over 100 manuscripts in peer‐reviewed journals and is on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. Her scientific achievements include the Dr. C.S. Bhaskaran Gold Medal at the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, 2015 and the Young Scientist Award, 2016 and Associate Fellow 2018 by the Telangana Academy of Sciences. She has made several presentations at various national and international conferences as well.

Dr. Akash Belenje
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Akash Belenje did his MBBS from K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, Karnataka, followed by post-graduation, MS Ophthalmology from Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Medical College, Dharwad, Karnataka. He then pursued a fellowship in Surgical Retina and Vitreous from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He has presented papers and posters at Karnataka State Conferences. His areas of interest are Pediatric Retinal Diseases, Diabetic Retinopathy, Endophthalmitis and Low Vision care.

Dr. Subhadra Jalali
Network Director, Quality Director, New Eye Health Alliance (NEHA) Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

She is best known for her work in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), She is also on the National Task Force on ROP, Govt. of India, and is an expert advisor on ROP to the Governments of Bangladesh and Philippines. Specialized in managing advanced vitreoretinal conditions, ocular trauma, endophthalmitis and primary genetic retinal degenerations. Dr. Jalali has received several awards, including the Indian National Talent Search Award, American Academy Achievement Award and Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement award, AIOS P. Siva Reddy International award, IJO platinum award, IAPB Eye Health leadership award and Mother Teresa award. She has been instrumental in training national and global students (about 350) in ROP and setting up ROP treatment and training centres through grants from Sightsavers (UK), Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust (UK), Orbis International (USA), and Cognizant Foundation (India) to name a few. She has to her credit over 750 presentations, 180 publications in national and international journals and many book chapters.

Dr. Ritesh Narula
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Before joining L V Prasad Eye Institute, Dr. Narula worked as a consultant at Dr. Shroff Charity Eye Hospital and Centre for Sight Eye Hospital, both in New Delhi, for a duration of two years and 12 years, respectively. He is a keen researcher and has multiple publications to his credit in peer-reviewed journals. His published work has been awarded the IJO Gold award and IJO Certificate of Merit for the most cited articles of the year. Currently, he is an assistant editor with the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ritesh Narula is an expert in managing Complex Vitreoretinal Diseases Especially Diabetic Eye Surgeries and Macular Disorders. Apart from surgical work, his main focus is on the advancing field of Retinal Imaging. From time to time, he has been invited to national, international conferences to present his work on Retinal Imaging. When he is not at work, he loves spending time with his family and to read books on varied topics.

Dr. Padmaja Kumari
Network Head, Tele-Ophthalmology, Consultant – Smt. Kanuri Santamma Retina Vitreous Service, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

She is currently Adjunct Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester, New York and is an expert in the management of Diabetic Retinopathy with sixteen years of professional experience after completing the National board-certified fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal diseases. She is actively involved in capacity building of Optometrists in Diabetic Retinopathy project in collaboration with the Optometry Council of India and Carl-Zeiss. She has trained over 1000 optometrists and 100 physicians in the screening and referral guidelines of DR across the nation. She is currently in charge of Translating research into clinical and community practice: a multi-centre statistical and economical modelling of risk-based stratified and personalized screening for complications of diabetes in India (SMART India) at LVPEI in collaboration with Professor Sobha Sivaprasad, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. She is passionate about building and mentoring screening programs for Retinopathy of Prematurity. She is the Key Investigator of Indian Twin Cities Retinopathy of Prematurity Program since 2009 Jan till date. She has conducted several master classes and workshops for ophthalmologists and pediatricians in the screening and management of ROP in India and Bangladesh. She has published several international and national peer reviewed publications and presented papers, posters, and Instruction Courses of which ‘The Atlas of Vitreoretinal Diseases’, a publication that she authored is well known.

Dr. Cherukuri Navya
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad

Dr. Cherukuri Navya pursued her bachelor's degree from Mamata Medical College. She then pursued Masters in Ophthalmology from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital (Osmania Medical College), where she later served as a senior resident. She also holds a Diplomate National Board degree and has an excellent academic background. To further her interest in the retina, she did a fellowship in Vitreoretina at the L V Prasad Eye Institute. Dr. Navya Cherukuri is very passionate about teaching students and has worked as an undergraduate tutor at GITAMS, Visakhapatnam, before joining L V Prasad Eye Institute as a Consultant Ophthalmologist. Dr. Cherukuri is a compassionate caregiver with a focus on quality. Her fields of interest include pathological myopia, imaging in uveitis, infections, and inflammation of the retina.

Dr. Anup Kelgaonkar
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus Patia, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Anup completed MS Ophthalmology from GMC, Nagpur followed by one and a half year stint as a senior registrar in BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He later pursued a 2-year fellowship from Vitreo Retina and Uveitis in L V Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneshwar. Dr. Kelgaonkar's core areas of interest are Uveitis and Advanced Vitreoretinal surgeries and he is actively involved in clinical research of Uveitis. He is a co-investigator in several multicentric randomized clinical trials.

Dr. Suman Sahu
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus Patia, Bhubaneswar

Dr. Suman Sahu completed his Ophthalmology residency from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Following which he had a small stint as a consultant at ASG Eye Care,Ludhiana.

Later, he completed a two-year fellowship in Vitreo-retina from the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar. His areas of interest are Vitreoretinal surgeries, Retinopathy of Prematurity and Ocular Trauma. He also has a keen interest in community eye care and ophthalmic research.

Dr. Keerthi Bellala
Junior Ophthalmologist, GMR Varalakshmi Campus, Visakhapatnam

Dr. Keerthi Bellala completed her basic medical education from Katuri Medical College, Guntur, followed by post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Lotus Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. She then pursued a fellowship in Ludhiana. Later, he completed a two-year fellowship in Vitreo-retina from the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar.

His areas of interest are Vitreoretinal surgeries, Retinopathy of Prematurity and Ocular Trauma. He also has a keen interest in community eye care and ophthalmic research.omprehensive ophthalmology from LVPEI, Visakhapatnam, and received subspecialty training in vitreo retinal services at LVPEI, Hyderabad. Her interests include the surgical retina and posterior segment complications of cataract surgery.

Dr. David Aggarwal
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary Campus, Vijayawada

Dr. Aggarwal completed his post-graduation from GMC, Patiala, Punjab. Later he did his Comprehensive and Vitreoretinal Fellowship at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute. He has experience of managing cataracts as well as vitreoretinal diseases. His areas of interest include - Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Disorders, Uveitis and Surgical Retina. He is also actively involved in screening and management of Retinopathy of Prematurity.

He is a member of the All India Ophthalmological Society as well as Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO, U.K). He is keenly involved in the research work and has several indexed publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Aggarwal aspires to carry forward the ethics of the institution by his service.

Mr. Sujoy Mukherjee

Mr. Sujoy Mukherjee, after completing his graduation from West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), did his comprehensive optometry fellowship at LVPEI's Hyderabad campus. He later joined the retinal diagnostic department at the institute's Bhubaneswar campus.

He is actively involved in teaching and his basic research interests lie in electro diagnostics, the structural and functional correlation in diabetic retinopathy and retinal dystrophies, and functional changes and symptoms to detect early glaucoma. He has attended several national and international conferences and has widely presented his research work.

Mr. Krushna Gopal Panda

Krushna Gopal Panda, presently is one among the lead optometrists at MTC campus, LVPEI, Bhubaneswar. He has been specialized in Retinal diagnostic procedures including Fundus imaging of neonates.

He has 16 publications in peer reviewed journals and has been awarded multiple times for his skill and talent in Fundus imaging by American Academy of Optometry.

Mr. Sameer Ranjan Nayak
ROP Project manager

Mr. Sameer Ranjan Nayak, currently serves as a project manager for all the ROP active activities at MTC campus, LVPEI Bhubaneswar. He is skilled in imaging of fundi of infants with various pediatric imaging devices including FFA in neonates. He also spearheads the Realtime Telescreening project on ROP running in the state of Odisha.

He has vast experience on creating a ROP care network in peripheral districts and public-private partnership.
