About This Course

This course exclusively focuses on pediatric respiratory diseases and ways to treat them, brought by elite pediatric pulmonologists together on this optimal forum in discussing advances, updates, and all new information in pediatric chronic respiratory diseases. The course format includes a mixture of discussions on lung diseases in pediatric patients like chronic cough, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease and Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome. This course is designed to address the complex issues in management of chronic chest infections in children and aims to provide appropriate solutions to provide the most effective care.

Need for the Course

Chronic cough, defined as a cough lasting over eight weeks, accounts for 3.17 million deaths globally. And pneumonia, known as the ‘captain of the men of death' is a worldwide leading cause of mortality known since the earliest records of medicine. From subtle presentations to catastrophic manifestations, from isolated cases to epidemic proportions, pneumonia along with interstitial lung disease has confused clinicians, delighted radiologists and often been the nemesis of microbiologists. Its management has posed a real challenge. This course will help to gain more insight into the complex world of chest infections by providing additional diagnostic guidance for better understanding of inflammatory syndrome in pediatric patients.
