Apollo sets up Odisha’s first cancer centre with TrueBeam STx

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, India’s largest multispeciality hospital chain in terms of bed capacity, has opened the first cancer centre equipped with the Linear Accelerator (HD-TrueBeam STx) radiation technology in Odisha. The newly built centre has 17 dedicated beds for chemotherapy. It is also a major referral centre for the people of Odisha and the neighbouring states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and parts of West Bengal. The Odisha centre, which is the latest in the nationwide network of Apollo Cancer Centre, the oncology division of Apollo Hospitals, has organ-specific cancer management teams and internationally acclaimed oncologists in all specialities, according to a statement from Apollo management issued on Friday.
