The Commonwealth Secretariat and global non-profit organisation PATH are joining forces to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines across the Commonwealth countries, while also striving to eliminate malaria and address other public health challenges. This joint initiative will focus on several key areas for innovation and collaboration, including leveraging innovative and digital technologies to strengthen Commonwealth countries’ health systems and epidemic preparedness and response. It will also  allow both organisations to work together to build digital health and health data capacity in public health systems, in order to strengthen disease surveillance and mitigation capabilities, along with promoting universal health coverage across the Commonwealth.
