Digital COPD programs help engaging older patients
The integrated virtual COPD management programme, developed by Wellinks, found helpful in engaging older and adult patients better. According to findings from a recent peer-reviewed study published in JMIR Formative Research, older adults could engage more in the Wellinks digital health platform due to its ease of use and effectiveness. The company said that it undertook an 8-week study, participants each received access to the Wellinks mobile app, which automatically recorded health data from devices, including a connected pulse oximeter and spirometer. It also added that 94% of participants either agreed or strongly agreed that the Wellinks app was easy to use, and 81% said that it was valuable for managing their COPD.
