India reported 2,528 new SARS CoV-2 infections and 149 related fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry updated data. The data further revealed that 149 new Covid-19 deaths on Thursday has taken the total death toll up to 5,16,281. The country witnessed 3,997 recoveries as per the data released by the ministry on Friday. The data also revealed the country’s daily case-positivity rate at 0.40 percent as on today.
