India to allow booster Covid shot for all above 18

The government of India is considering allowing booster doses of Covid vaccine for all those above 18 years of age in view of a surge in infections in parts of the world and to ease difficulties faced during international travel. The country, which has reported 1,581 new Covid-19 cases and 33 deaths in the last 24 hours, has also said in its latest data released on Tuesday that its total active cases have decreased to around 23,000 as on date.
